Zhuangwei Sand Dunes Visitor Center: Extreme Serenity on the Yilan Coast
Posted on 16 May 2026
Located on the Yilan coastline, the "Zhuangwei Dune Landscape Space" is a secluded place for the soul to dock. The Loherb Secretary recommends arranging a slow-paced trip in the afternoon to come here to calm your mind, take a deep breath, and let your body and mind relax completely. There is no hustle and bustle of traditional visitor centers here, only unique architectural vocabulary and artistic atmosphere, allowing people to feel the stabilizing power of nature among sand dunes, sea breezes, and light and shadow. In 2026, Zhuangwei will also combine a life art festival that coexists with the landscape, adding layers to the journey.

2026 Zhuangwei Living Art Festival: An Artistic Celebration of Floating Islands and Drifting Sands
In the summer of 2026, the park welcomes the Zhuangwei Living Art Festival with the theme of "Floating Islands and Drifting Sands." Multiple domestic and international artists used natural materials such as driftwood and bamboo to create several striking landscape artworks between the lawns and sand dunes.
At dusk, the setting sun tints the artworks golden, creating an incredibly romantic visual atmosphere. Participate in the limited "Starry Night Dune Concert" and listen to the movement of the land under the starry sky. This feast combining farming and fishing village cultures is an art experience not to be missed this year.

Connected to the back of the park is a hidden yet charming coastal shaded trail. Dense windbreak forests shield the blazing sun while leaving a refreshing cool breeze carrying the scent of sea salt.
Walking on the fine sandy path, the eyes are filled with lush green trees and occasionally spotted sand dune plants, with the sound of crashing waves audible in the distance. It is recommended to come before 4 PM, when the sunlight pierces through the treetops to form beautiful dapples of light, making it perfect for couples or families to stroll.
