The waters are tranquil with high coral coverage, making it one of the world's earliest discovered coral spawning sites, home to over a hundred species of coral.

【Qixing Ridge Trail】
The Qixing Ridge Trail is approximately 4.7 to 4.8 kilometers long with a maximum altitude of about 230 meters. Along the way, there are multiple viewing platforms named from "One-Star Spring View" to "Six-Star Sea View." Mileage markers are placed every 100 meters, offering distant views of Su'ao Harbor, Guishan Island, the Lanyang Plain, and the Pacific Ocean.

【Wuyanjiao】

Kayaking groups often depart from the coast to pass through sea caves and land on the shore for photos, offering an adventurous atmosphere.

【Battery Mountain Scenic Area】
Battery Mountain sits at an altitude of about 200–300 meters. It was a platform where forts and barracks were established during the Qing Dynasty to defend against French invasion; later, during the Japanese colonial period, the Kotohira Shrine was added. Today, ruins of old banyan trees and stone lanterns can still be seen. The summit offers a broad view of the three Su'ao bays and the fan-shaped train depot.

Spanning Su'ao Township and Dongshan Township, Wulaokeng Scenic Area covers 400 hectares and is one of the "Eight Scenes of Lanyang." The gentle stream and shallow waters are suitable for river trekking, picnics, camping, and water play. The park also features camping areas and outdoor cooking facilities.
