Wu Shi Er Jia Wetland was originally a former channel of the Dongshan River, forming extensive marshlands due to its low-lying terrain and year-round accumulation of water. Consequently, it has become a habitat rich in wetland ecology, making it a paradise for bird species.

【One-Night Beauty of Fireworks】

In addition to birdwatching, Wu Shi Er Jia Wetland is also a hidden gem for flower enthusiasts. During the flowering season from July to September, hundreds of spike-shaped flowers burst into full bloom, resembling fireworks on trees. As night falls, the colorful and dazzling display becomes even more beautiful, making it a favorite spot for many travelers.
Not only can you enjoy the flowers, but you can also have a distant view of the Dongshan River.
Due to the short blooming period of the spike-shaped flowers, which occurs mainly at night, they have earned the nickname "One-Night Beauty," showcasing a brief yet brilliant beauty like fireworks, making it a popular nighttime attraction for travelers to Yilan.
